When Abbye Eville wanted to shed some pounds, her then-boyfriend Les Stockton encouraged her to lift weights at Santa Monica’s Muscle Beach. She soon became known as “Queen of the Barbelles” & became the poster-girl for fitness. In the 1940s, she organized the first all-female weight-lifting contest and opened the first all women’s gym in the United States.

This somehow was one of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen! It says so much! It reminded me of my parents! How they pray together everyday! I hope to get this with my wife someday! Where we can pray together to Almighty Allah and together get closer to him and his mercy! May Allah all accept us into the fold of His eternal love!
